Wall paint formulated with potassium silicate, inorganic pigments, selected quartz, and various high-quality additives. When applied to wall surfaces, it reacts with the mineral salts present in the plaster, carbon dioxide, and atmospheric moisture, resulting in the formation of a highly durable organosilicate network.
These reactions give the product an absence of a film-forming layer, thus preventing peeling, detachment, or cracking over time; maximum breathability, as moisture encounters no barrier to its escape; high resistance to the formation of algae and fungi; stability to light and weather conditions; and a distinctive aesthetic appearance with varying degrees of halos and shading. However, it is important that the wall to be decorated is free from plastic or washable exterior coatings, otherwise the silicatization reaction would be hindered. The surface to be coated must also be uniform; patching or repairs made with plaster different from the existing one should be avoided, as they may result in unsightly “stains” due to the different reactions that the silicate paint will have with the various underlying substrates.
